Police stopped smuggling of food, liquor and medicines

Shipments of avocados, hundreds of bottles of liquor and alleged medical products, such as antibiotics and ointments, were intercepted by the Border Police in the border area with Panama, in Paso Canoas.

Allan Obando, director of the Border Police, said this type of smuggling enters through blind spots in the territory with products that are sold in the metropolitan area. However, said products also lack health records, so people who buy them are risking their health.
