Port closure in Moín is under criticism

The Board of Harbor Administration and Development for the Atlantic (JAPDEVA), decided to close one of the berths (5-6) in Puerto Moín from November 7th to January 31st in order to make some improvements.

This situation did not please the National Chamber of Shipowners and Vapor Agents (NAVE), that affirmed that this closure occurs at the worst moment, as it is in the best season for the fruit exports and importations are more frequently by the end of the year.

A different option would be to use Limón Port for shipping and unloading; however, the priority at this time is the arrival of cruise ships because it is the best season for them.
