Children from 4 soccer schools visited Liberia’s Institutional Prison Calle Real to play in front of their fathers, who are deprived of their freedom.

On Thursday last week, the tournament took place in the prison’s fitness center, where children between 4 and 9 years old participated in the activity called ” Abriendo Puertas a las Escuelas de Fútbol de Liberia” (opportunities for Liberia’s soccer schools).

Thanks to this tournament, 6 parents who are held at the center were able to spend time with their children.

In addition, the participants’ families made food sales. The money raised was donated for the purchase of chairs and tables to be used in family visits.

CAI Calle Real also participated in the activity, as well as Ana Julia Chavarría, Deputy Mayor of Liberia, Mr. Carlos Córdoba, Mr. Omar Zapata, Saúl Rizo and five futsal judges from the Referees Affiliate of Liberia, who are part of the support network of the center.
