Opening of the International Festival of Arts (FIA) is in jeopardy, as the first weekend of activities will coincide with the runoff vote for April 6th. According to provisions of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, activities requiring massive movement of people are prohibited on the day of and one day before the election.

Director of the FIA has said they were aware of the possible problem, and for the first weekend scheduled mostly national artists, which will be easier to reprogram than international ones.
