Rains have caused 101 incidents so far

The National Emergency Commission (CNE) reports a total of 101 incidents due to heavy rains in eight cantons nationwide, of which 84 are floods, eight are landslides, three were strong winds, five were inspection requests, and there was also a revision incident.

The canton that reports the highest number of incidents is Pococí in Limón. The canton of Desamparados ranks second in the number of incidents reported. Other affected places were Sarapiquí, La Unión, Aserrí, Golfito, and San Carlos.

The different emergency committees were responsible for carrying out the inspections on the site and later they will send the report of the situation.

Mattresses and supplies were sent to shelters in Los Guido community hall in Desamparados, sector 8, where there are currently four families, specifically 20 people.
