Rains in Cartago caused water supply shortages in several communities

The heavy rains that have affected the province of Cartago in recent days continue to cause problems in the Old Metropolis.

According to the municipality of the central canton of Cartago, the rains caused a landslide in the Quebrada Norberta that broke the pipeline of the Padre Méndez headwaters and left the neighbors of Quircot without drinking water.

The municipality is coordinating truck supply of water to these places.

Last Friday, also due to the rains, a flood damaged the support structure of the pipeline that supplies the drinking water service in the sector of San Blas, which left several neighborhoods without fresh water.
