Red Cross: 2016 ended with 1,295 violent deaths

On Sunday, the Red Cross reported that 2016 ended with 1,295 violent deaths as a result of collisions, assaults or actions with firearms.

According to the entity, traffic accidents killed 455 people, while assault weapons killed 318 people on the scene.

In addition, the rescue teams transported more than 3,300 people in delicate condition.

Similarly, 2016 ended as the most violent year, when the homicide record was broken as the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) said that, until December 29th, there were 621 homicides.
