Route 32 to be closed from Monday

If you must transit Route 32, remember that from this week until early September the National Laboratory of Materials and Structural Models of the University of Costa Rica (LanammeUCR) will make partial closures on route 32.

This measure is because engineers from LanammeUCR will examine the pavement of the area.

This is the closing schedule:

Week 1: from August 7th to 10th: in Matina, approximately 500 meters towards Limón from the bridge over Barbilla River, the entrance to Estrada (Route 803) and the entrance to Zent, (Route 807). In Siquirres between Hondo River and Madre de Dios River.

Week 2: from August 21st to 24th: in Siquirres, between La Herediana and the FRUCTA Costa Rica Plant, In Guácimo, approximately 1 km to Limón to the bridge over Parismina River and the last, 800 m to Limón, of the existing bridge over Jiménez River.

Week 3: from September 4th to 8th: in Pococí, from Molino River 300 m to Limón, from Jiménez River 700 m to Limón, between Costa Rica River and Blanco River, 250 m to Limón on the existing bridge, and between Guápiles River and Maxi Palí.

These are short-term jobs on moving fronts that require the partial closure of a traffic lane.

This activity consists of an excavation in an area of 50 cm x 50 cm to extract the material and determine the thickness of each layer, to classify, replace and compact the extracted material.

Subsequently, the area explored will be covered with asphalt.
