Seizures of fake drugs rose by almost 900 percent compared to 2012

Seizures of counterfeit or contraband drugs increased nearly 900 percent over the previous year, and as of November a total of 2,153,475 units have been confiscated. Much of the contraband comes across the border illegally and is believed to fuel organized crime. Most popular are over the counter medicines and multivitamins.
