SENASA: “kivú is still sick”

A report released by the National Animal Health Service (SENASA) indicates that lion Kivú’s health is delicate.

We have the option of practicing general anesthesia in order to study it with two goals: to do a more thorough examination and have a more solid diagnosis and to apply a treatment that helps it improve its quality of Life,

said doctor Bernardo Jaén, director of SENASA.

The feline, who is in the ZooAve in Alajuela, has suffered from lack of appetite, dehydration and in general, its health has worsened.
