The Public Force had to intervene in a brawl in Parque de la Merced on May 1st. A group of Nicaraguans clashed with a group of demonstrators.
There was a group of 20 people who were demonstrating against the regime of Daniel Ortega and Nicolás Maduro. They clashed with Costa Rican supporters of the Sandinista front,”
said Randall Picado, director of the San José Public Force.
Due to the altercations, seven people were arrested, six Nicaraguans and one Cuban, for disturbing public order.
