Solís: “I will visit the affected areas, but I’m not a star, we can’t politicize this situation”

Amid the work carried out by the Emergency Operations Center, president Luis Guillermo Solís has received messages where he is asked to visit the areas affected by hurricane Otto. Solís admitted that some of these requests come with a tone of irritation, with discomfort.

However, the President declared that it is not convenient to go immediately, it is clear that at this time, what is required is the presence of rescue teams to assist the affected areas.

In addition, he is sure that many people want him to visit Upala and Bagaces to criticize him.

Some are asking me to go, others want me to go to say that I am a politician and I’m pretending to be a star. This is something that can’t be politicized,

stated Solís.

The President emphasized that he will go, but he considers that the time has not come. He announced that he wil will probably travel to the impacted areas this week.
