Spaniards will make an expedition in Costa Rica for a television show

A well-known Spanish designer and a mountaineer left their country to visit Costa Rica, where they will make an expedition in the jungle of the Osa Peninsula.

Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada will travel in the company of Jesús Calleja, a Spanish mountaineer and adventurer, to record the expedition for the television show Planeta Calleja. According to the Spanish Channel Cuatro, the adventurers chose Tiquicia for being in “the most advanced country on an environmental level and the happiest in the world” and that is why they will enter the jungle to see part of the 2.5% of the planet’s biodiversity located here.

They’ll try to see up close the native fauna in its natural habitat, where parrots, macaws, anteaters, tapirs, monkeys, frogs, poisonous snakes, and jaguars, among other species, live together,”

wrote a Spanish newspaper.

I do not know how I got into this mess. At 57 years of age I am no longer adventurous… But here I am. I am zero adventurous. I’ve never made a trip like this and I’m scared to death. I travel a lot, but only for work, so everything will be new for me,”

said the famous designer.

The idea is to kayak in Golfo Dulce, look for crocodiles, ride a horse on the beach, and fly over some areas in search of rays, sharks, turtles and whales.

In a video published on Instagram by Calleja, the designer says she’s been in Costa Rica before and that it is simply fascinating.
