Starbucks’ new visitor center

Starbucks Coffee Company announced that it will develop a visitor center inside Hacienda Alsacia coffee farm, which was acquired in Costa Rica four years ago.

Hacienda Alsacia is located on Poas volcano slopes and it currently serves as a Global Research and Development Center, as well as a coffee farm for Starbucks.

The new center will allow visitors from around the world to have a broader understanding of the work the company has been doing for 20 years.

The construction will just start, for this reason, there are no visit-scheduled dates.

Visitors to Hacienda Alsace and the coffee farm will be able to explore a 4,273-square-meter area, which will allow them to experience the coffee journey: from the plant to a coffee field, from the grinding process to the drying yard, to the roasting and preparation of this grain.
