Streets in San José will be closed for two more weeks

San José municipality has been closing streets in the capital due to some pipe changes in Arias’ irrigation canal. As consequence, part of the work will last two more weeks.

Marco Corrales, Supply and Services’ manager, explained that this week they are working on the hydraulic improvement of Arias’ irrigation canal, on a 120 meters section.

We are on Avenue 16 and 7th Street intersection.

said the manager.

Corrales explained that they need to build a concrete structure and it will take a couple of weeks, therefore it is very unlikely that the intersection will be open when school break is over.

Although the pipeline will be placed, we’ll be still working on the structure,

stated Corrales.

After working on that intersection, they will continue working on 7th Street until they reach Avenue 14. It is estimated that changes to the irrigation canal will last 3 months.
