Students joined to collect 1,200 daily supplies

After Hurricane Otto, students from the Seminary College decided to collect food and join to cooperate with neighbors from Bagaces and Upala, who virtually lost everything.

In fact, the gymnasium of the College became a center of collection for students, parents and officials, who united for a noble cause.

Every day we had about 200 to 300 volunteers, people who come independently and organizations joining the cause, such as the Girl Scouts,”

said Father Gerardo Castillo, Director General of the Seminary College.

During four days were gathered about 1,200 daily supplies for the affected areas and last Monday we agreed to postpone school assignments to give a helping hand to all those affected in conjunction with the authorities of the Red Cross.
