Technological empire unites against Trump’s immigration decree

Nearly 97 technology companies, including Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Twitter, presented a legal document to the US courts against the anti-immigration decree of President Donald Trump.

The document, which was delivered on Sunday night before a Court of Appeals, claims that the decree “significantly damages American business, innovation and growth,” according to a copy of the text released by the local press.

The ban represents a sudden change in the rules governing the entry into the United State. This is the latest move from the technology industry to oppose Trump’s controversial measure.

However, the President has already found obstacles in the US judicial system.

The motion was filed in the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which rejected the appeal filed by the US government against the temporary suspension of the decree.

The appeals court asked both sides to file legal documents before the court made its final decision, after a judge suspended the ban on Friday.
