The Government has promoted teleworking as an alternative to road collapse due to La Platina closure. The government signed a decree to allow civil servants to accept this alternative and avoid further road collapse.
However, the Ministry of Labor ignores how many people are working from their homes, as they have not received a report from the different institutions. This was confirmed by new ruler of that entity Alfredo Hasbun.
The decree grants 5 working days so that the heads of offices make their plan and put it into practice and they have 10 business days to inform the Ministry of Labor,
informed Hasbun.
According to data from the Ministry, 10,000 people enrolled in the plan to work from home and 4,000 people accepted the staggered schedules.
Those who wanted to take advantage of this alternative had to fulfill a series of requirements; the most important of them was signing an addendum to their original work contract.
