Territorio de Zaguates says many animals escaped after SENASA’s intervention

Animal shelter Territorio de Zaguates used its Facebook site to make a call to neighbors of nearby areas, such as Alajuela, Heredia and its surroundings, because after the intervention by SENASA to the place, many animals escaped.

As indicated in the message posted:

Due to SENASA’s poorly managed visit many animals left the farm. We have found enough, but we estimate that 150 or 180 are still missing.”

And they added:

Please take a picture of any new dog that they see in their communities. Try to grab it and let us know as soon as possible. We will try to go immediately to pick it up.”

The press tried to contact the shelter but received no answer.

On Wednesday morning, the National Animal Health Service (SENASA) and the Ministry of Health intervened the shelter in Carrizal de Alajuela and found several irregularities with the animals.
