The construction of the pedestrian bridge in the Florencio del Castillo highway, which connects San José with Cártago, is going to start today.

Adrián Rojas, technical director of the project, said that they will extend the lane near the Servicentro La Galera, on National Route 2, because the new structure will occupy part of the current lane.

The bridge will have ramps for wheelchairs users and a bus stop.

The construction should take 4 month but works related to the aqueducts, optic fiber and power lines are not included in that period.

This project will cost 272 million colones.
