The euro falls against a dollar strengthened by Donald Trump

The euro fell on Monday in front of the dollar benefited from the confidence of the agents of change in the promises of US President-elect Donald Trump.

At about 5 p.m. (11 a.m. Eastern Time in Costa Ria) the euro was trading at $ 1.0723 and came to fall to $ 1.0709, its lowest level since December 2015 against 1.0859 dollars on Friday at 4 p.m. (CET).

The euro was up against the Japanese currency at 116.08 yen against 115.84 on Friday.

The dollar also gained ground against the Japanese currency to 108.28 yen after closing at 106.67 yen on Friday.

The ounce of gold closed at the afternoon fixing at $ 1,213, having reached $ 1,236.45 on Friday.
