On Thursday morning, the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) detained 7 suspects of the massacre that occurred in Cieneguita, Limón, in October, 2016. They were accomplices of Dinnier Estrada Jiménez, alias “Ojos bellos”, who was also arrested.
Wálter Espinoza, director of the organization, said that this gang is responsable for the shooting on the beach where 4 innocent people died, as well as one of its targets, a member from “Gato Cole” gang. They are also accused of five attempted murders and another crime that occurred on July 12th, 2016 in Villa del Mar, in Limón.
Espinoza considered that the investigation was a success and he assured that it was an objective that was raised since the shooting that shocked the whole country, because those who died were innocent victims.
Among the detainees there is a police officer, who would be the gang’s informer.
