There are new fuel prices

New fuel prices were approved last Friday and could be in force as of this week when they are published in the official gazette.

The resolution was sent on Monday and La Gaceta has between three and finve days to publish it. The new prices will be in force a day after the publication.

The Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) approved the increase of 13 colones in super gasoline, 10 colones in regular fuel, and 12 colones in diesel fuel. Therefore, super gasoline will cost 693 colones, the regular 673 colones, and diesel 598 colones per liter.

The Costa Rican Petroleum Refinery (RECOPE) reported that the situation of the international market and the rise of the exchange rate are two factors that have pushed the local market upwards.
