Ticos lacking in English fluency

According to an international study of English language learning, Costa Rica ranks in 37th place among 60 countries analyzed. The study conducted by Education First (EF) for the Americas interviewed 1.7 million adults from among 5 continents.

Jorge Rodríguez, Director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce (MEIC), responded by saying that the country should look at it as an opportunity for improvement. In particular improvement is need for young people in public schools.
