Tony Facio Hospital has a CT scanner

For the first time, Tony Facio Hospital has a CT scanner and it is already working.

With the new tomography service, authorities aim to offer quality, opportunity and precision of the diagnostic studies that are conducted in that hospital.

According to information from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), with this device, up to 20 daily studies are already carried out.

In addition, this equipment reduces the transfers and the risks involved when mobilizing patients on route 32.
Other hospitals that already have new equipment are:

-Escalante Padilla Hospital, at Pérez Zeledón
-Max Peralta Hospital, in Cartago
-Enrique Baltodano Hospital, in Liberia
-Monseñor Sanabria Hospital, in Puntarenas
-San Carlos Hospital
-San Rafael Hospital, in Alajuela

San Juan de Dios Hospital recently received a tomography simulator to plan radiotherapy sessions.
