Trump wants Republican leader of Florida as ambassador in Costa Rica

One of the most active voices during the Republican presidential campaign was nominated by Donald Trump to become the new US ambassador to Costa Rica.

Sharon Day was a key piece of the Republican triumph gear in the State of Florida.

A statement released by the White House on Wednesday confirmed the nomination of Day, who would occupy the position currently held by Stafford F. Haney.

A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she served as co-chair of the Republican National Committee. She has business experience in the marketing sector as well as experience in political work in Broward County.
