TSE officially declared Carlos Alvarado as President elect

On Wednesday morning, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) officially declared Carlos Andrés Alvarado Quesada as elected President of the Republic, during the constitutional period that will begin on May 8th.

Epsy Alejandra Campbell Barr was also elected as First Vice President and Marvin Rodríguez Cordero as second Vice President.

Next week, the TSE will present the credentials at an official ceremony that will take place at the Francisco Sáenz Meza institutional auditorium.

Alvarado was elected president in the second round on April 1st, with 61% of valid votes. On February 4th, Carlos occupied the second place (22%) against the evangelical candidate Fabricio Alvarado (25%).
