Tsunami alert is false

A tweet that warned of a tsunami in the Pacific caused fear in various sectors of the population. However, this was denied by the National Emergency Commission and the National Tsunami Monitoring System (Sinamot). So don’t believe it.

A plane from the US Department of Defense detected a possible tsunami about 600 miles from the border between El Salvador and Nicaragua. People in that area should seek higher ground,”

the US embassy in El Salvador warned on Twitter.

However, Costa Rica’s Sinamot said:

“THERE IS NO DANGER OF TSUNAMI FOR COSTA RICA. A couple of hours ago a US plane detected a strong swell at sea and in some places they are saying that it is a tsunami but it is NOT, it is a storm surge. Please remember to always check official sources.”
