Tsunami threat ruled out in Costa Rica

After Thursday’s 7.2 degrees earthquake in El Salvador, the office of the National Monitoring System of the National University said there is no danger of tsunami for Costa Rica.

The quake was recorded at 159 kilometers south of Puerto El Triunfo in El Salvador, and was felt in much of the Central Valley of Costa Rica.

It was also perceived in other Central American countries.
