On October 11th, after a few hours of relative calm, Turrialba volcano erupted twice and now it presents a low-amplitude tremor.

there was a huge amount of ash. It affected communities in the South and volcano rangers,

declared Eliecer Duarte, expert from the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI).

According to Duarte, people cannot appreciate the ash plume because weather conditions in the area do not allow it but the tremor was quite large.

Yesterday morning, Patarrá, Goicoechea and Montes de Oca citizens reported ashfall.
