Turrialba’s volcanic activity is decreasing again

Turrialba volcano started the day with very little activity and it only recorded a slight plume of steam without expulsion of ash.

Eliécer Duarte, an expert at the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), said that the volcano emanations have become extremely weak, it has expelled water gases, sulfur dioxide and hydrogen disulfide.
