U.S. Coast Guard saves 4 tico fisherman from sinking ship

Four fishermen aboard a Costa Rican ship have been rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard after their ship, the Calipso IV lost power and began taking water on January 17th. After drifting for five days the crew ran out of food and water before being located and rescued 150 miles west of El Salvador by the USCGS Boutwell.

The crew, consisting of one Costa Rican and four Nicaraguans were evacuated to El Salvador where they are making plans for their return to Costa Rica.
