UNA to start “U week” with bike rides

On Monday, the Students’ Federation of the National University (FEUNA) will start the activities for the university week.

“Your, week, your struggle” will open the activity program of the week at 8:00 a.m. with “cleteada”, a symbol of the campaign to use alternative means of transport that improve quality of life and avoid polluting the environment.

They will also start the “UNAcletas” program with a group of students that want to promote bike rides for other students, academics and officials from the university.

The “cleteada” will leave at 8:00 a.m. from the school of veterinarian medicine in Lagunilla de Heredia to the Centro de Investigación Docente y Extensión Artística at around noon.

Every person who owns an alternative means of transport, such as a bike or skate board, is invited to participate in this protest against the excessive use of hydrocarbons.

Cultural and artistic activities will also be held during this week.
