A vacation in the country conquered the heart of Sharon Day, the new ambassador of the United States in Costa Rica.
Day recognized this in a video where she was introduced to the Costa Rican people. She said she knew the country as a tourist on a “fabulous” family vacation.
In addition, she said that maintaining cooperation between both nations in the field of regional security is one of her goals.
She also said that she will use her commercial skills – she and her husband set up an insurance company – to attract more foreign investment.
