Vehicle restriction starts again on Monday

The holidays are over and reality is back, so the vehicle restriction resumes on Monday, January 2nd.

Today, the vehicles whose plates end in 1 or 2 cannot enter downtown San José.

The authorities of the Transit Police suspended the ban on December 26th, preceding the activities that were developed in San José and the holidays of public officials.

The plate number restriction is in force from Monday to Friday on all streets located on the ring road towards the center of the capital, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

On Mondays, the plates with restriction are those that end in 1 and 2, on Tuesdays it’s 3 and 4, Wednesdays 5 and 6, Thursdays 7 and 8, and Fridays 9 and 0.

If you disrespect the restriction, you must pay a fine of more than 20,000 colones.
