Keep your bills for possible claims. (CRH Archive).

According to the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (MEIC), most purchases in Costa Rica are covered by a minimum guarantee of 30 working days. Furniture and durable goods, such as electrical appliances, machinery, vehicles and tools must also come with the guarantee in writing. Consumers should keep their original sales recipient, and remember they have up to two months from the end of the guarantee period to file a complaint with MEIC.
