Water service suspension would affect about 40 thousand people

Maintenance works, tank washing and valve changes could cause water suspension that would affect a total of 40 thousand people, reported the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AYA).

The interruptions of the service will be from 8 in the morning until 4 pm. The populations that would be affected are Montes de Oca, Curridabat and Goicoechea.

We recommend that the affected population take appropriate measures. If possible the service will be restored before the indicated time. AyA urges the population to properly and responsibly use this precious liquid. Store water only for basic needs,”

said AYA in a statement.
