Woman and newborn were flown from indigenous zone

A woman and her newborn baby were transported in a helicopter from the Air Surveillance Service (SVA) of the Ministry of Public Safety to Turrialba due to postpartum complications.

The flight was made from the indigenous area of El Chirripo to the hospital in Turrialba.

The SVA indicated that so far in 2017, they have performed 101 ambulance flights that represent 167 flight hours.
