150 people affected by floods were taken to shelters in Limón

The Matina sector in the Caribbean was heavily affected by the weather on November 21st. The Matina River overflowed, which generated an emergency.

As a result, Elvis Lawson, mayor of Matina, declared that more than 150 people have been evacuated. They were transferred to a shelter in Venice, while another group will be located in Bataan.

According to Ann McKinley, JAPDEVA’s chief executive officer, the institution’s officers have been helping to evacuate people who were isolated from the floods.

JAPDEVA reported that a cruise was suspended. It was decided by the Norwegian Pearlm shipping company.
