The Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) arrested a 21-year-old man, surnamed Alemán Murillo, under suspicion of killing a French woman at a hotel in Punta Uva on October 27th.
According to the OIJ Press Office, the victim was Sterller Marie Claire and she was 50 years old. She was found dead by an employee.
Claire had several rags tied around her neck and authorities initially talked about a possible robbery.
The suspect has a record of aggravated robbery.
