Anonymous complaints got drug gang arrested

Officials of the Drug Control Police (PCD) managed to arrest four people from an alleged drug gang following a raid in Los Guido Desamparados, after 22 anonymous complaints were filed by people who called 1176.

None of the suspects had a criminal record. They were identified as Mora, Montes, Lacayo and Quesada. The authorities were after them since September 23rd, 2014.

Officials seized 587 crack doses, 250 doses of marijuana and 72 doses of cocaine, as well as ₡ 236 thousand in cash, apparently from the illicit business,”

notes a report from the Ministry of Public Security (MSP).

They also seized a motorcycle, which they apparently used to deliver the drugs and a revolver that is not registered.

Mora, Montes, Lacayo and Quesada face a 20-year prison sentence and were referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
