Animal abuse cases keep piling up

Two days after the approval of the Animal Welfare Act, which punishes animal abuse and cruelty, another case of a mistreated dog was reported, this time in Cártago. The animal was found in San Rafael of Oreamuno by a resident of the area.

Mary Garita informed that they found a badly injured, trembling dog in a house. The animal would have spent several days injured and unattended.

We do not know if it was with a machete, a knife, a shovel or a pick … What we do know is that there is a cut on its snout. Its owner said that it was fine, but apparently this may have happened days ago. The puppy has other wounds in different parts of the body and a broken leg,

explained Garita.

The dog was taken to a veterinarian office, where according to Garita, they told her that its wounds are infected. While the infection is not treated, vets cannot proceed with a reconstructive surgery.

In recent days several animal abuse cases have been reported, such as Viggo’s case, that was also attacked on his snout and Lucky’s unlucky story.
