ARESEP approved a reduction in bus fare in San Pedro

The Regulatory Authority approved a 70-colón decrease in bus fare in San Pedro and, according to the official publication in La Gaceta, the reduction will apply from October 27th. As consequence, users will pay 255 colones (20.8% decrease).

Autotransportes Cesmag company provides service in San Pedro, Sabanilla and San Ramán, as well as surrounding neighborhoods (Route 50).

For the first time, the bus, ordinary methodology was applied and it has a 22% impact on the fare. Other aspects that were taken into account were the changes approved by the Public Transport Council of reducing the number of bus units, as well as the number of journeys while the demand increases.

During October, ARESEP applied a national reduction in bus service and this company accounted for a 10-colón decrease. ARESEP makes semiannual reviews where wage costs, fuel, operating expenses and administrative costs are studied.
