Art will invade the walls of Jacó

Farid Rueda

The main objective of the Project Artify Jacó is to beautify the streets of Jacó, offering street art as muralism. This movement was founded in 2016 and began with the participation of the French artist Dourone, who made a large mural in downtown Jacó.

In addition, this cultural project coordinated the tourism and artistic campaign #BuscaTusAlas (#findyourwins), in which various artists drew wings so that people took photos with them in the background sharing the hashtag in their social networks.

In order to continue the project and create an interactive circuit with visitors from the area through art, two world-famous muralists will capture their talent in the streets of Jacó.

Peruvian Jade Rivera, who will visit Costa Rica for the first time and begin his work this Monday, and Mexican Farid Rueda, who will be taking a break from his Europe tour to give the passerby of Jacó a bit of colorful art.

In addition, Melvin “Kamel” González, national artist, made a mural allusive to the nature of Costa Rica, with the typical style of this aboriginal art in downtown Jacó.
