More Zika cases in Jacó

Zika has been detected in Pueblo Nuevo in Jacó. Last weekend 9 more cases were added to the previous 19 cases. Now, there are 28 registered cases, making Jacó one of the most affected areas
Rodrigo Marin, director of the Vector Program of the Ministry of Health, revealed that the cases increased around 40% over the previous week. He insist on asking the population to destroy mosquito breeding areas.

The data issued by last week’s Epidemiological Bulletin indicate that the cantons reporting cases of zika are: Nicoya 8, Carrillo 1 Alajuelita 4 Garabito 19 plus 9 reported over the weekend, bringing the total to 41 Costa Ricans with the disease.
