Authorities have been working restlessly in Upala. Weather conditions have allowed them to help isolated communities.
Upala’s mayor Juan Bosco Acevedo assured that everyone has received food, clothing and personal hygiene products. However, Bosco Acevedo explained that there might be some people who didn’t receive these products: it was because they weren’t around when authorities delivered them. He urged them to communicate with officials to be assisted.
Some private companies and the fire department are cleaning the streets in order to remove mud, furnitures and debris to clear the roads.
