Cocoa producers received 1,100 million colones

Thanks to the Sixaola Program from the Ministry of Environment and Energy, 791 cocoa farmers were financially benefited for the development and strengthening of their crops.

A 1,100 million colones investment was made, delivering nearly 2 million colones in tools, equipment, organic products and cocoa plants to each producer.

The beneficiary farmers are monitored by developers and technicians in the area, who check that the work is being fully complied.

President of the Republic Luis Guillermo Solís attended the activity with the First Lady Mercedes Peñas.
