Yesterday the Criminal Court of Alajuela suspended concessions for 33 airport taxi drivers who are suspected of submitting false results of English language certificates in their application. Juridical officials conducted an investigation after receiving an anonymous tip that the drivers were paying for certificates without actually passing tests. The English course is a requirement under Article 8 of Executive Decree No. 35985-MOPT and has a value of ten points in the process to obtain an award of taxi, the air terminal.
