Costa Rica and Panama agree to share tax information

The governments of Costa Rica and Panama agreed to exchange tax information during a bilateral meeting held in a summit of Caribbean countries, which took place over the weekend in La Havana.

The president of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solís and his counterpart from Panama, Juan Carlos Valera, also agreed to work together to address other pressing issues such as smuggling and uncontrolled migration.

In recent months, groups of migrants from Asia and Africa has been seen crossing Panama and Costa Rica on their way to the United States.
