President Luis Guillermo Solís returned from Washington with suitcases full of optimism to keep fighting against organized crime and drug trafficking organizations, thanks to the donation made by the United States: two 110-feet patrol boats and two cargo planes C-45, among other things.
The boats, valued at $ 30 million, will arrive in the country in the second half of next year and will operate in the Pacific, along with training for coast guards and a 2-year maintenance guarantee for the ships.

In addition, the two cargo planes C-45 also include the construction of a hangar and operations center for air surveillance in Ciudad Neily, among other things that will work jointly to prevent traffic between the nations.

Thinking of creating a unit against organized crime in the Judicial Investigation, the United States donated to the country three armored vehicles, which will be used by the security forces, the Intervention Unit and the OIJ, as well as shooting range and communication equipment for rangers.
